Corporate Policy
Safety
The RVC Corporate Health & Safety policy has been developed not only to ensure compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, but to provide a common, consistent and transparent approach to health and safety management at the College.
Policies
are supported by a range of specific codes of practice, guidance, procedures and local rules (where applicable), for all principal work activities undertaken by the College.
Occupational Health
The RVC is commited to ensuring that the potential for ill health or injury arising from College activities and/or premises is kept to an absolute minimum. It recognises that this duty of care for its staff extends to mental as well as physical well-being at work, together with a duty of care to students, where applicable.
The Occupational Health Service is provided by Sanita Consulting Ltd who have produced a manager's guide. Please read the manager's guide before contacting the Occupational Health Service as it provides information, along with useful contact numbers and directs you to additional resources.
Please note that Occupational Health does not provide General Practice services or First Aid.
