Chris Clay - Corporate Health, Safety & Risk Manager
Chris graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Biochemistry. His early interest in health and safety grew while he was working as a laboratory technician at the University, during which time he completed a Masters degree studying the immune response and an initial health and safety qualification through NEBOSH. He then took a position involving laboratory management and in 2002, joined the University of Oxford as a safety officer where he gained a wide range of experience in safety management and completed his NEBOSH Diploma.
Chris’ main role within the Corporate Health and Safety team is to ensure the development of a culture of compliance with health, safety and risk legislation in the College.
